Co-Founder, Partnerships & Communications
Emily runs motivote’s external partnerships, communications, and marketing efforts. She is tired of decisions being made in Washington by a (mostly) monolithic group of politicians and believes in the power of young voters to change that.
A D.C. native, Emily cut her teeth on K Street, where she ran the communications strategy for some of the biggest names in progressive politics and global nonprofit organizations.
She’s proud to have harnessed the power of digital to prompt conversation and action, supporting legislative efforts and sparking conversation around progressive issues. Her skills include campaign development, grassroots advocacy, web strategy, and digital advertising. Her skills ALSO include finding seven-letter words in Scrabble and shucking a mean oyster.
Emily holds a M.P.A. in Social Impact, Innovation and Investment from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a B.A. in History and Political Science from Bowdoin College (go Polar Bears).
