LET'S GROW THE POWER OF THE YOUTH VOTE

We're on a mission to make voting fun, social, and habit-forming by making it easier for young people to hold themselves and their peers accountable for voting. Your support will help us cultivate an inspired and informed electorate that ushers in more responsive government.

Our first pilot, in an NYU student government election, helped increase voter participation by 168%. Since then, we've begun planning tests in critical districts across the country. We most recently tested our model in the March 13 special election in Pennsylvania's 18th Congressional District, which saw Democrat Conor Lamb defeat his Republican opponent in a district that President Trump won by 20 points. We're committed to testing our model in primary elections across the country so we can gather data and critical feedback to refine our model and ensure we're ready to launch by the fall of 2018.

Where We're Headed:

Behavioral science tells us that pairing financial and social accountability helps people follow through with goals. By scaling and systematizing these proven principles, we can transform young voter turnout.

To be ready to roll out in the November 2018 midterms, we're spending the next months piloting our model, partnering with universities, affinity and activist groups in districts where youth turnout can make a meaningful difference in the outcome of a race.

Your donation will help our team cover travel expenses and outreach efforts across the U.S. as well as support technical development and fees associated with legal incorporation.

What We need:

Pilots & Testing: Your donation helps to defray travel costs and material development needed to successfully pilot our model in critical races across the country. ($3,000)

Design & Development: Your donation helps fund technology that lets us reach voters at scale and an animated video to share our concept. ($2,000)

Legal Fees: Your donation helps cover the legal costs of incorporation,  which enables us to truly launch and grow our business. ($5,000)

OUR GOAL: $10,000

Rachel and Emily spent a Sunday morning at a buzzing Pittsburgh brunch spot to meet local voters and learn about their plans for the upcoming election. Being on the ground is the most effective way for us to connect to resources and cultivate a community of motivote champions. Your support will help us meet more potential users in person and get them invested in our model.

Jess signs on our first motivote user in Carnegie, PA, walking her through the steps of making a pledge and recruiting friends. To reach enough young voters to impact outcomes, we need to develop an app that enables efficiency and engagement at scale. We've been hard at work with designers to create a user experience and customer journey. The next step is building out the technology.
